Custom Astronaut Helmet Hydro Dipped in Artwork by Unskilled Worker

This commission was something truly unique for us. We were approached by ArtBelow to apply an original artwork by the internationally recognised artist Unskilled Worker onto a full astronaut helmet. The brief was to translate a one-off piece of art onto a three-dimensional surface while preserving the character, colour and emotion of the original illustration.

The helmet was prepped and carefully hydro dipped using the custom-printed artwork, taking extra care to guide the design around every curve and contour so the composition flowed naturally across the shape. Once finished, the piece carried the full impact of the artist’s style, now transformed into a sculptural object.

After completion, the helmet went on display at exhibitions in both London and Los Angeles before being sold through an online art auction. A standout project and one we’re proud to have played a part in, blending contemporary art with hydrographic application in a way rarely seen.
