Engine Bay Hydro Dipped in Custom Weathered Union Jack & Japanese Flag Design

This project showcases a fully custom printed design created specifically for the customer a blend of weathered Union Jack and Japanese rising sun flags. The parts were supplied for a complete engine bay transformation, including the slam panel sections and surrounding trims.

We produced the artwork in-house, combining distressed textures and faded tones to give the flags an aged, worn look rather than a clean graphic style. Each piece was then hydro dipped individually, ensuring the pattern aligned naturally across the curves and complex cut-outs of the engine bay plastics.

Once dipped and cleared, the result is a striking, personalised finish that carries both cultural elements while still looking cohesive and purpose-built. A great example of how custom-printed films can completely change the character of OEM components with a finish you won’t see anywhere else.
