These Terms & Conditions govern the supply of services by Vital Hydrographic (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any customer (“you”, “the client”). By placing an order, approving a quotation, or instructing work to proceed, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, and UK contract law.

  1. Scope of Services

We provide specialist finishing services including, but not limited to:

  • Hydro dipping / hydrographics
  • Custom paint finishes
  • Carbon fibre finishes
  • Camouflage finishes
  • Custom graphics and films
  • Alloy wheel painting
  • Batch and commercial production
  • Express turnaround services

All services are bespoke and custom, carried out to client specification.

  1. Quotations & Pricing

3.1 All quotations are estimates, based on information provided at the time. Final pricing may vary if:

  • Parts differ from those described
  • Additional preparation is required
  • Condition is worse than expected

3.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3.3 Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated.

3.4 Any additional work required will be communicated and approved before proceeding where reasonably possible.

  1. Orders & Acceptance

4.1 An order is deemed accepted when:

  • A quotation is approved in writing, OR
  • Parts are delivered or shipped to us for work, OR
  • Payment (or deposit) is made

4.2 Once work has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled due to the custom nature of the services.

  1. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 You confirm that:

  • You own the items or have authority to instruct work
  • Parts supplied are safe, legal and fit for processing

5.2 You must disclose:

  • Previous repairs, coatings or damage
  • Any structural weaknesses or defects

5.3 We are not responsible for failures caused by undisclosed prior damage or unsuitable materials.

  1. Preparation, Finishes & Variations

6.1 Our services involve manual preparation and artistic processes. Minor variations in:

  • Colour
  • Pattern alignment
  • Texture
  • Finish depth

are normal and accepted within industry standards.

6.2 Sample images and previous work are illustrative only and not guarantees of identical results.

  1. Turnaround Times

7.1 Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.

7.2 Delays may occur due to:

  • Drying and curing conditions
  • Complex preparation requirements
  • Supplier or material delays

7.3 Express turnaround services are prioritised but remain subject to technical feasibility.

  1. Inspection & Collection

8.1 You must inspect items upon collection or delivery.

8.2 Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.

8.3 Failure to report issues within this timeframe may be deemed acceptance of the work.

  1. Warranty Policy (Fair Use Warranty)

We offer a fair and reasonable warranty on workmanship, subject to the following conditions.

9.1 Warranty Coverage

The warranty covers:

  • Clear coating failure
  • Paint adhesion failure
  • Dipping failure

Only where failure is directly attributable to our workmanship.

9.2 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear
  • Stone chips, scratches or impact damage
  • Heat damage
  • Chemical exposure
  • Improper installation
  • Improper cleaning or maintenance
  • Environmental exposure

9.3 Exterior vs Interior Parts

You acknowledge that:

  • Exterior parts are exposed to road debris, weather, UV, impacts and chemicals and are more prone to damage
  • Interior parts are subject to significantly less wear

Warranty assessments will take intended use and placement of the part into account.

9.4 Warranty Process

  • All warranty claims must be returned to us for inspection
  • No refunds, repairs or reworks will be offered without inspection
  • Warranty decisions are made at our sole discretion

9.5 Remedy

Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, our obligation is limited to:

  • Reworking or repairing the affected area

We do not offer cash refunds for completed custom work.

  1. Returns & Rework Conditions

10.1 All items must be returned to our workshop before any warranty or remedial work is considered.

10.2 Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless agreed otherwise.

10.3 We accept no liability for items damaged during return transit.

  1. Limitation of Liability

11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • We are not liable for loss of profits, downtime or third-party costs

11.2 Our total liability is limited to the value of the work carried out on the affected item.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  1. Trade & Commercial Clients

12.1 Trade clients acknowledge:

  • Services are provided on a business-to-business basis
  • Consumer protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 do not apply

12.2 Repeatability in batch work is subject to material consistency and process variables.

  1. Intellectual Property

13.1 All images, processes, designs and content remain our intellectual property unless agreed otherwise.

13.2 We reserve the right to photograph completed work for portfolio, website and marketing use.

  1. Payment Terms

14.1 Payment terms will be stated on quotations or invoices.

14.2 Late payments may result in:

  • Delayed release of goods
  • Suspension of further work

14.3 Goods remain our property until paid in full.

  1. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, supplier failure or power outages.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
