Red Painted Brake Calipers with RS Logos

This new Audi RS5 Hybrid came into our Stone, Staffordshire workshop for a caliper upgrade that makes a big visual difference for a small part of the car. The brake calipers were painted in a deep gloss red and finished with crisp white RS logos, so they stand out clearly behind the satin bronze ten-spoke alloys against the dark grey paintwork. Red calipers are one of the most requested finishes on performance Audis, and with the cross-drilled discs visible through the open wheel design, the colour reads at a glance.

Caliper painting is about more than colour. Brakes run hot and sit in the dirtiest part of the car, so the finish has to cope with heat, brake dust and regular washing without fading, flaking or discolouring, and the logos need to sit crisply on the curved caliper face and stay legible for years.
