Fulham Pier Signage Hydro Dipped in Wood Grain, London
Wood Grain Lettering for Fulham Pier
These feature wall panels at Fulham Pier in Fulham, south-west London, use hydro dipped wood grain to spell out the name at a huge scale. Sections of the dark vertical slats were finished in a warm wood grain so that, read together across the wall, they form the words fulham and pier, while the rest of each slat stays dark grey. Up close you see individual strips of timber-effect grain; step back and the lettering appears, tying the signage into the timber decking and slatted ceiling around it.
Hydro dipping is a practical way to get a convincing wood finish on architectural panels, where real timber would be heavier, harder to maintain or simply impractical at this size. Because every letter is built from many separate slats, the grain has to line up and match in tone across the whole wall so the words read cleanly from a distance. We take on commercial and architectural finishing projects well beyond our Staffordshire workshop, and can match wood, stone, metal or carbon effects to your own branding.
